Who We Are
Raven's Nest was born in January 2020 with a small group who desired to re-think what makes a faith community. Most of the community has a background in institutional church settings, and together began to ask what it would look like to release the facility, paid-staff, and formality of a faith community and focus on service, inclusion, belonging and growth in God. What would it look like if we prioritized just doing life together? We are an experimental faith community, but one who strives to stay true to who we believe God is calling us to be in this beautiful and broken world we call home.

Sunday Gatherings
Every Sunday afternoon, we gather for discussion, prayer, laughter, and a message. We are an informal and community-led group who studies and asks the hard questions of faith, and together wrestles and grows toward the heart of God.
Wednesday Lunch
Need a monthly mid-week break for laughter and connection? Join us the first Wednesday of every month for an agenda-free lunch. Location may vary, so please reach out through our contact page if you'd like to join us!
Service at Sunrise Navigation Center
Whether you have 30 minutes a week to cook some pasta, or a full day to contribute, our community of chefs and non-chefs alike work together to provide hundreds of meals each week to those who seek services at the Sunrise Navigation Center. Hands on Housing
A few times a year, Raven's Nest teams up with some other communities to help repair homes in Austin, TX through iACT's Hand on Housing project. We have both skilled and "supportive" volunteers who come out, so all are welcome!
STUDY
Part of our time spent together every Sunday at our gathering is spent discussing a book that we are reading. Please note that while discussions are based on the current book, they are led for readers and non-readers alike to be able to participate. This is a sampling of some of the books we have read and wrestled with together.
More Than a Church
Life Together
Doing life together means that we celebrate the joys, but also grieve with and support in the lows. From baby showers to funerals, and everything in between, the Raven's Nest community is chosen family. When we're not feeding and serving those among us who are experiencing homelessness, we enjoy social events together, provide "mom and dad hugs" at the annual Austin Pride parade, and constantly seek a more authentic faith in Jesus.
